单数/复数spelling是相同的: A series 单数; series复数 of xxx
复数: 1.Those series of stamps <are> incomplete. 2.Those series finales aren't going to write themselves. 3. How many series are there and how many episodes are within those series?
单数: A series of unfortunate events <is> recorded.追问我遇到的是这样一题：Those series of stamps (are) incomplete. and this series of stamp (is) complete.其中的两个be动词为什么不一样？不是说无论of后面是单数还是复数，后面的谓语动词都用单数吗？

追答我的例子已经很清楚解释:
Key words (关键字) 是" A series"(单数) ;
或 "Series of.../Those series of..."(复数).
